Failed-actor-turned-high-school-drama-teacher decides to produce "Hamlet 2," a controversial musical sequel to Shakespeare's masterpiece in order to save the school drama program and his career.

A hysterical parody of inspirational teacher films that's a little over the top and uneven at times, but is a great showcase for Steve Coogan and the young cast. The actual show itself was both hysterical and catchy in the vein of racy Broadway like "Avenue Q.

" Amy Poehler is hysterical as an uppity ACLU rep as well as Elizabeth Shue who pokes fun at herself as a washout actress. "Hamlet 2" has a lot going for it, and is probably one of the better indie comedies I've seen in recent times.

Even if the box loudly proclaims that it's "from the producers of 'Little Miss Sunshine'," hey, at least those guys know what they're doing in Hollywood.
