Review of Hamlet 2 (2008) by Jason F — 17 Oct 2009

Kind of shitty, but shines in parts. A good premise but not executed as well as it could have been.

"Jesus is the son of God, he has a surfers Bod" may be the greatest line ever muttered on screen (and by greatest ever I mean greatest in a film about Hamlet... that is a sequel... with Steve Coogan).

Could have been much better than it was, but what it lacks in story it makes up for in charm and quirkiness. Coogan is always a delight to see on screen, as was Amy Poehler's supporting role.

I only suggest seeing it if you have nothing else to do... like... nothing at all... or if you've been drinking...
