Review of Hamlet (1990) by Ryan R — 03 Dec 2007
Didn't quite think this was good enough to be a classic, but that is very dependent on a couple variables (1. I watched it in class (bad chairs, talked to my friends) and 2. It took 4 days, so nothing really stuck), but it definately picked up toward the end.
A very interesting (latter half) and devastating movie. Great performances (with the exception of a few overacted scenes) and one of them even came from Mel Gibson (stupid, drunken, Nazi). I would be very interested in seeing a remake of this film like they remade Romeo & Juliet with Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio.
