Solid film adaptation of Shakespeare's legendary play.Mel Gibson is actually very good in the lead,wgat he lacks in gravitas he makes up for in charisma and it's one of his best performances.Helena Bonham Carter is fantastic as Ophelia and Ian Holm is a wonderful Polonius.
Glenn Close is totally miscast as Gertrude though and looks more like Gibson's sister than his mother.Still though it's a good film,well worth checking out and very accessible.
