Review of Hamlet (1990) by Michael K — 12 Feb 2012
Overall I think this version of Shakespeareâ(TM)s Hamlet was sub-par. Itâ(TM)s over-acted and poorly produced. Itâ(TM)s hard to get into and after it is over you are left unsatisfied. Instead of being a true tragedy like the play, this take almost has a comical tone due in part to the emotions of Mel Gibson.
I recommend that anyone who wants to watch a Hamlet movie just go and see the Kenneth Branagh one.
