Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Murder C — 09 Jan 2008
The sixth movie in the "Halloween" series takes place and came out six years after the fifth one. Both Michael Myers and Jamie Lloyd (J.C. Brandy) are very much alive, but are hidden by a cult known as 'Thorn'.
Jamie gives birth to a baby (that is said to by Michael Myers child) and manages to escape from the cult. But Michael Myers is right after her, and once again is Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) after Michael.
The movie has a new interesting take on Myers and I found the 'thorn' curse very interesting as well, but the movie doesn't play out as good as the previous sequels, still very much a worthy chapter in the "Halloween" series.
This was also, sadly, one of the last roles of Donald Pleasence who was the real star of the series. RIP - Donald Pleasence.
