Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Deven P — 01 Nov 2018
Halloween: Curse sucks. The end. No, I'll elaborate. It sucks mammoth ass, and makes 5 look good by comparison. It ruins the character of Michael Myers. The last two movies effectively set him up for that, and this one just hit the nail on the head with extreme precision and accuracy for one of the most colossal anal fuckings of any character I've ever seen.
It's bad, I mean really bad. They turn him into a creepy uncle who rapes his niece, conceives a child, then attempts to kill it (for whatever reason), and give him a "curse" that drives his motivation to kill.
Great. You make him Uncle Dad, then say it's all because of a curse placed on him as a child. It's sad how messed up this movie is. I can't look at the original the same way knowing that in some universe, this is what it lead to.
They destroyed him. I'd rather he had been killed at the end of Halloween II, and that be it. But no. We have to effectively ruin him and tarnish the entire franchise. That's how they pitched it.
They also ruined his appearance. He's too big and bulky, and his mask is ugly.
