Review of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) by Shiloh F — 21 Oct 2018
I watched this entry in the franchise a little out of synch.
I've watched the original and it's first sequel.
I will disregard because it doesn't involve the chief protagonist of the series Michael Myers. I couldn't find prints of IV and V!
Here Myers 'returns' yet again to Haddonfield like a stale odour under the cover of a Druid storyline.
It was a little sad seeing a screen legend like Donald Pleasence, on his final role before his death, returning as the very frail Dr. Loomis.
The violence seemed visibly upscaled compared to other entries I have seen. Perhaps to cover a convoluted mess of a screenplay.
It looks re-written, re-shot. A mess.
There is no Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie in this entry.
The music score is a 1980s mash with only a few chords of the original John Carpenter score which made such an impact.
I certainly don't intend on viewing this again.
