Review of Halloween: Resurrection (2002) by Brandon M — 05 Oct 2015
Awful and brainless piece of garbage with not one likeable character in the film besides Jamie Lee and Tyra Banks. Both of which are killed off wayyyy too soon. Since the only two characters with any screen charisma are killed off within 20 to 30 minutes, we're stuck with a bunch of wooden, brainless co-eds who I couldn't wait to see get picked off.
Did I mention Busta Rhymes is in this? Did also mention that he SURVIES? Did I menton he somehow manages to kick Michael's ass?
Rhymes is a terrible casting choice for a terrible role. The two don't mix.
Besides a strong opening with Curtis, it goes into over the top and pointless territory rather quickly and then it's just a waiting game to see which idiot will die next.
I give it a star for Curtis, Banks, and some nice direction by Rosenthal.
