Review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) by Barry S — 27 Oct 2009
I have absolutely no problem with Michael Myers not being in this entry of the Halloween franchise, in fact I praise the film for not following the same idea of a simple slasher villain coming back over and over again like we're used to in other horror franchises.
I consider Halloween III an improvement over the previous film, as it takes a more inventive approach that, while not scary to me, makes for an interesting horror/fantasy film. Despite this, Season of the Witch is only decent and is absolutely no match for the original Halloween masterpiece.
This Halloween, pop in Season of the Witch and have yourself a good time because even though it's not a masterpiece, it's a perfect film to watch on Halloween.
