Halloween III: Season of the Witch is unduly criticized. Yes, this is not a direct continuation of the first 2 films. But Halloween III is a good mystical thriller for its time. There really is an interesting plot here, the development of which is interesting to follow.

Yes, the very idea of the plot looks delusional even now, almost 40 years after the release of the film. But there's suspense here and a great open ending where the protagonist loses. And the film is not stretched in contrast to the first 2 parts of Halloween, it has optimal timing.

I recommend watching it for everyone, even if you are deterred by Carpenter's absence from the director's chair and the film's ratings. One of the best Halloween movies.
