Picks up exactly where the original left off. The style and tension carries over well and the total number of kills and gore gets significantly upped. You also get the explanation for why Michael just won't leave poor Laurie Strode alone.
Whether you want an explanation or not goes a long way in determining if you'll lime this film or not. Me, I enjoyed the hell out if it.
