Review of Halloween II (1981) by Hellholehorror — 14 Jan 2023
This directly follows on from the previous film and cannot really be faulted as it is more of exactly the same. It is almost like the first film never ended. It is slightly more graphically violent and that is an improvement.
Also the tone is slightly more serious, again an improvement. I did enjoy this sequel. There was a slight sense of a bigger budget for this film but that didn’t spoil it at all. The film has more pace and the characters are just as good.
If you have seen Halloween (1978) then you might as well watch this one, especially if you enjoyed the first one. You will enjoy this too. It’s not as original but everything that made the first film successful is here too and this time ramped up to be slightly more entertaining in my opinion.
