Review of Halloween II (1981) by Joe A — 01 Nov 2009
Sequel is a decent slasher flick, more resembling a Friday the 13th movie with Meyers killing random victims, sometimes going out of his way to do so, and using a variety of ways and objects abandoning his beloved butcher knife early in the film.
The cast does well, especially Pleasence who takes the role serious enough to make it work. But the film has none of the atmosphere or mystique of the classic original and if it weren't the first sequel to a classic film it would be forgotten.
