Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Kenny S — 02 Mar 2010
This was an entertaining reboot-sequel that did a lot right, but unfortunately not all. Steve Miner knows how to make a step by step slasher and unfortunately does just that. Why is that unfortunate? Because that means about an hour worth of build up before anything goes down, that is an hour of unnecessary build up since I already know the main character and her relationship to the killer.
I'd rather see the movie explore more in the relationship between the two. Also, this might sound stupid, but I thought the guy playing Michael did an awful job, it felt nothing like the Michael of the other movies.
A good sequel, but I wished it had been more like the others and less like an entry in the Scream series.
