Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Isaac J — 08 Nov 2018
Iâ(TM)m relatively new to the Halloween Franchise. Iâ(TM)ve seen the original and the gloriously new sequel from David Gordon Green and I generally know what happened in 2-7 and wasnâ(TM)t very interested so I decided to give H20 a shot.
I liked it more than I thought I would, but itâ(TM)s not not without its flaws. Some of the early scenes are slow paced and Laurieâ(TM)s son is kinda annoying. The third act makes up for it though. The last fiteen minutes are great! If it werent for a more satisfying ending in the 2018 retcon sequel I would be ok with this being the final chapter in the franchise.
Too bad they ruined it in Resurrection. I like what they did with Laurie for the most part. I still donâ(TM)t care for Michael being her either though. Perhaps the third best film in the franchise?
