Review of Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) by Michael E — 24 Mar 2018
A rather good edition to the Halloween series, Jamie Lee Curtis is great in this movie as she reprises the role of Laurie Strode from the original two films. This movie removes the druid storyline of Curse of Michael Myers and makes him almost as scary as he was in the original film.
The soundtrack as usual is great, using the classic music from the original to ramp up the suspense. H20 also offers a terrific climax scene and what would have been a very good ending to the franchise.
However, it is not entirely flawless, there is an abundance of fake jump scare scenes that really ruin the tone of the movie, but although it pales in comparison to the first Halloween, it still manages to be a great source of entertainment.
