Review of Halloween (2018) by Bim P — 10 Nov 2018
Halloween, like any other horror movie, is pretty messy and some parts make 0 sense. However, for a horror movie this movie is pretty great and you kind of get a feel for the characters. Michael Myers was an emotionless, silent killer(which is his character) which was pretty expected so cool I guess.
Jamie Lee Curtisâ(TM) character was what really threw me off. Her intentions where to prepare her family for Michaelâ(TM)s coming, which any logical person would do, but the way she handled things and how she acted made me annoyed every.
single. time she was on screen. The mom, was a pretty strange character. She seemed like your ordinary typical mom and would never expect that she was trained to shoot a gun at a young age. It was like she had a button to turn on that side of her and it was off for the whole movie until the very, very end.
The daughter was like she was thrown in the movie because why not. She had a boyfriend who served no purpose the whole movie, except breaking her phone. Michaelâ(TM)s doctor turned out to just be a fan of Michael Myers which was definitely an unexpected twist, but only because it was stupid.
The whole movie was about Jamie Lee Curtisâ(TM) character wanting to kill Micahel once and for all, and it happens in a dumb reason. Her whole house was meant to just be one huge trap for Michael to just be set on fire and crushed with rubble, yet us viewers obviously know this is definitely not the death ot Michael, so why did Jamie Lee Curtisâ(TM) character not even check to make sure he is dead? Her whole life was spent on killing him and she doesnâ(TM)t even check his body? Halloween was an entertaining movie, beginning was slow, but it catches itself up and delivers a treat to all horror-movie lovers.
