This movie I would recommend to newcomers watching the horror genre. There's not much gore suitable for ages 9 & over. Halloween (2018) is good, not great, not amazing, not awesome, just plain old good.
I can see why people would be disappointed at this film but I did enjoy it. For a Halloween film, it can be better I'll tell you this, there's more comedic sense than horror in the film. As far as Carpenter's score goes, it was an awesome score but I've got to disagree with Carpenter and say that the original score was better.
