Perfect balance of nostalgia and originality. More tension building than jumpscares. Michael Myers is brutal and relentless, and once again the embodiment of evil. Laurie and her family's arc are compelling.
Although one subplot was weird and out of the blue, thank Got it was stomped down immediately.
