Review of Halloween (2018) by Phillip S — 18 Oct 2018
I found the film to be suspenseful, brutual, & one of the better sequels. Of course it had some flaws, but I thought it was very good. The soundtrack even sounded great for it being modernized. I will admit the film did start off a little slow, but I understood that it was more like a reintroduction for the newer generation and it was building its way up like the original.
There was a good blend of old and new horror. It had references and good scenes like the original, but it had humor and murders from today's horror films. Also I loved that they didn't make it necessarily scary, but they made it like the originals type of scary.
It was a fresh start to begin with and if we get more films, I am sure it will go more further with the suspense, horror, and killings.
