Once again, suckered into a horror movie because of the critics. I LOVED the original Halloween. This one was a mess. What one forgets about the original Halloween is the lack of blood in the movie and the constant tension/jump scares.

Shadows and creepy music throughout. The stuff of nightmares. This Halloween.....not so much. They have turned Jamie Lee Curtis Laurie Strode into a complete nut and basketcase. Michael Myers is locked up for 40 years and you turn your residence into Fort Knox with trap doors/secret basement and an arsenal enough for an Army Base??? Seriously??? Characters come and go and you could care less.

One scene I did enjoy was the backyard scene with the sensor lights going on and off. That was about it. I was very excited going into this movie and very disappointed walking out. What movie were the critics watching??? I thought they blew it with the lousy Hereditary movie but this one might just top it for huge horror disappointment.

I told my buds walking out of the theatre...if there's a sequel to this mess, this is one guy who will NOT be paying $15 to see it. It's been real Michael Myers but I am done, finite....kaput.

.....no more Halloween movies for me...........
