Review of Halloween (2018) by Scott F — 19 Oct 2018
Halloween (2018) is exactly the sequel we deserved. Tense, suspenseful, emotional and raw. Green's take on this new time-line is a sequel many fans of this broken, bitch-slapped and battered franchise, will welcome with open arms, even with its few missteps.
A great film about the effects of prolonged and untreated trauma. Without Curtis, the message wouldn't be as impactful but she sells it with every tear, scream and fight. The opening credits rewind a decaying pumpkin and with that segment alone, the franchise begins anew.
