People here other people and hardcore horror fans always say that originals are always better than a remake. And remakes are stupid. That is just what they are told, so when you ask them about this movie they are going to say the same thing, because they are a minion and want to be part of the cool crowd.

The horror movie snob crowd. I don't abide by that. No this Halloween is not as good as the original, the original is a great movie and will forever be cemented in American culture as one of the greatest horror movies ever made.

But just because that is the case, does not mean im going to just discount the fact that Rob Zombies reboot of the classic was actually a good movie. He did not just remake the movie, but he updated the character and put his own spin on things as well.

Michael Myers is still a killing machine but this time he's a big and strong killing machine. Not just stabbing people and cutting throats but he can snap your neck off your head as well. Making Myers a more physical presence gives him an even more menacing feel.

Don't be a horror movie snob who will not watch any remakes. This one is a good one.
