Review of Halloween (2007) by Amaris Q — 13 Mar 2012

In my opinion, bluntly nothing can match up to the original Halloween, but speaking to an audience like this generation's Rob Zombie definitely nailed it. This generation wants blood, violence, and action -he gives them that and also adds a not "When" will he kill, but a "Why" did he kill -it shows us a look at his childhood and all the elements that created the 'perfect storm' as Dr Loomis has said, so that we might almost show empathy towards Micheal and his situation.

I didnt see this movie expecting it to live up to something so great as the original, though it did pay its homage. Look at it as almost independent then come back and rate it.
