When H20 has received a better score than this, you know something is wrong. Rob Zombie made an honorable attempt to remake the film and give Michael Myers back story some guts, and that he did pretty damn well.
The original is king, but this remake brought something new to the table, which, if every remake accomplished that, I wouldn't cringe when I heard the term "remake", music, film or otherwise.
