This is a film more concerned with interpersonal relationships and experiences than story, resulting in a powerful viewing. Ryan Gosling leads a great cast with his extremely personal and passionate performance.
The prominence of Broken Social Scene (one of my favorite bands) in the soundtrack is a nice touch, too.
