Review of Hair (2012) by Adam G — 31 Dec 2007
I grew up in Manhattan, and with this movie, which is set mostly in Manhattan. It's still an inspiration to me; I still think of myself as a boy who grew up to be something like Berger, willing to give his life for his friends.
My whole life I've been looking for a clan as tight as the one depicted here. While the stage play is simply phenomenal, this movie rises to the occasion and makes for a different but no less gripping spectacle.
The music just rocks. I listen to the soundtracks, from the stage show and the movie, regularly still. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not down with this movie, there's an enormous gap in your understanding of the world.
