Review of Hail Mary (1985) by T.a. P — 15 May 2008
It's Godard, so I know it's going to be good. A surprisingly restrained (post) modernization of the Virgin birth. Hardly worth whatever controversy it generated upon its release. A far more interesting and thought-provoking film on the foundational Christian themes, much like Kevin Smith's Dogma, that makes such far-reaching belief structures palatable to even the most jaded cynic or atheist.
Recommended to all, but especially Christians, because Mel Gibson cinematically cannot do the divine justice.
