Gibson is obsessed with watching body parts fly uncontrollably and directed his actors to give their best impression of their favorite war movie characters. The result is a formulaic reflection of Hollywood's obsession with G.
I Joe's saving the day. With the only shock being the amount of actual awards the industry is handing this effort.
