Review of Gummo (1997) by Brian C — 03 May 2012
Fascinatingly grotesque and unique, but also tedious and satisfying only in the way a circus freak show is satisfying. Maybe in the right mood I could acknowledge the cinematic merits of this oddball enigma, but part of me doubts that there are any beyond some admittedly striking images.
