Review of GTO: The Movie (1999) by Moon On Water M — 22 Nov 2007
I thought the special that came after the series was a better conclusion to the story. The movie's plot and pace meanders lazily but Sorimachi amps up his Onizuka characteristics perfectly for the big screen.
His performance as the tough, yet blissfully measured naive teacher and some quirky film editing and photography make for a bit of fun. Plus any movie with Rena Tanaka is worth a view!
