Review of Grudge Match (2013) by Baurushan J — 04 Mar 2014
The story is about two washed-up boxers named Razor played by Sylvester Stallone and The Kid played by Robert De Niro who after 30 years are up against each other. Apparently, The Kid hates Razor because he won one match and quit after a draw and Razor hates him in return because he banged his girlfriend played by Kim Basinger.
So in order to confront their pasts, Kevin Hart (the poor man's Chris Tucker) organises the fight known as Grudgement Day. I have no idea why so many people hate this movie. This film was funny, had a decent plot and had all the action we needed.
It constantly references movies from Rocky to Raging Bull but since it's a comedy, I guess it's going in the direction of a spoof. Grudge Match gets a 9.9/10.
