Review of Grudge Match (2013) by Simon T — 27 Mar 2017
A predictable and rather trite story - riffing on both stars' previous screen boxing appearances - is elevated by the excellent acting from De Niro, Stallone and Arkin, who almost succeed in transforming this overlong comedy into something elegiac.
It's a mystery why they both agreed to this rematch, but it could have been a lot worse.
