Review of Gringo Trails (2014) by Megan%20 L — 28 Sep 2017
The film "Gringo Trails", directed by, Pegi Vali, is made for people that want to travel to different places and learn how to respect and enjoy different cultures. The purpose of this film is to open traveler's hearts and minds to what their effects of traveling has on the places they go.
The main message the director is trying to get across is that travelers need to learn the culture of the places they travel to and respect residents homes they are being welcomed into. This film effectively shows the devastating change the Bolivia Amazon went through due to tourist polluting and ruining it.
It shows the change in the Amazon over the years of increasing tourism and the negative results they are left with. By the end of watching "Gringo Trails" you should defiantly walk away with a different view on traveling and treating your travel destinations as you would like your own home to be treated.
This film has great footage of the Amazon's environment and really helps viewers see what tourism there has done to Bolivia. I would 100% recommend this educating film!
