Review of Gringo Trails (2014) by Kiley P — 17 Sep 2016
Gringo trails is a film that focuses on the bad effects of tourism. It starts out with a guy getting lost in the Amazon and then once he is found he writes a book about his experience. The book attracts tourists to the places that he talks about which results in litter, harm to animals and a disruption of peace.
This was filmed well and had many different speakers representing the different views on tourism. They had people speaking from the places themselves, tourists, and tour guides which gave different views on tourism.
The film seemed a bit choppy at times and was hard to follow but other than that it is a great watch and I would recommend it.
