Review of Gregory's Girl (1980) by Wendy N — 07 Jun 2009
Gregory is similar to Say Anything's Lloyd Dobler, but lacks in Dobler's charm and cool sweetness. It's a film about attempting to overcome awkward teenage relationships and surpassing the misogyny of the past.
Some love it, I thought it was nice enough, but wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anyone. It looks like half the words coming out of their mouths have been dubbed over, and I don't imagine that aided my opinion of the film.
