To call this laughably cheesy is definitely an understatement. Yeah the corniness and silliness of this movie makes High School Musical not so ridiculous (heck it ends with the two main characters flying into the sky on their car.

.....their Car! ). However, like High School Musical, this is a upbeat, pleasant guilty pleasure film with lots of catchy songs.
