Review of Gorgeous (1999) by Ryan B — 12 Jun 2008
A suprisingly good movie...i thought jackie chan in this love story would kind of sell out to all of his kung fu fans, but instead he busted out a kung fu-boxing style of fighting. I absoletly loved the fight scenes in which he boxed his opponents which showed a differetn style of fighting jackie could easily handle.
.of course it had a little kung fu in it though. I was sort of disappointed with the fact that it was indeed more of a love story than an action film and that jackie didnt really bring his comedy attutide but displayed more of a sensitive, hard to understand, dramatic character.
.an odd change for him, but it worked.
