Review of Goodnight Mommy (2015) by Christopher P — 10 Jan 2016

Fantastic horror film that doesn't rely on lazy jump scares and cheep thrills but instead on great cinematography and creepy characters. The director develops an unsettling tone and an ominous atmosphere, the key to any good horror film.

The story allows for interesting character evolution and the evolution of audiences feeling towards those characters. The last third does get hard to watch and becomes excessively violent. But other than that this is a great film that I would strongly recommend to all those looking for a well-made and well-realized horror film.
