Review of GoodFellas (1990) by Dylan S — 05 Oct 2013
Bought it... watched it... watched it again. This film is my favourite film right now, it was absolutely amazing. Looking at the cover I was expecting something a bit more gritty and more serious (like the Godfather which I just watched recently too), but what I got was so much better.
Ray Liotta has a great narration voice, he fits the character of Henry Hill perfectly, I couldn't see anyone else playing the part as well as him. I really love the feel of this film, it's just so good.
I love the scenes where it shows one un-edited continuance shot following the characters (i.e. when they go into the restaraunt and when Hill hits the guy with the butt of his gun). A film that I could watch over and over and never get sick of.
Can't say enough about this film. Fantastic piece of cinema right here!
