Review of GoodFellas (1990) by Michael M — 08 Oct 2018
"As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster." With these words I knew I was in for a wild ride. The expert direction of master director Martin Scorsese and the strong ensemble cast make this the best gangster movie amongst The Godfather part 1 and 2.
The best part of this movie is the Oscar-winning performance by Joe Pesci as a trigger happy gangster who will shoot ya if you stepped on his shoe. Not to undermine the brilliant performance by Lorraine Bracco who shows the depths of a woman who had a completely different lifestyle to a normal married woman.
In the end this is Scorsese's best movie.
