Review of GoodFellas (1990) by Raging Bull R — 25 Jan 2013
This movie is an instant classic. With great acting from both sides and brilliant direction; in my opinion Scorcesse's steadicam shots almost measure up to Kubrick. Everything is perfect. Stunning style, one of the greatest soundtracks, a brilliant story from a brilliant book. I will always love this movie.
As far back as I can remember Good fellas has always made me want to be a gangster, it will always cheer me up in a weird way. It is a glorious movie, from a glorious time. A phenomenal movie, trust me, I'm no clown. I'm a big boy, I know what i'm talking about. From Rags to Riches, the ringing guitars of Clapton, an average shmuck and the slow demonic gun shots from Joe Pesci. A beautiful journey through three decades of life in the Mafia.
