Review of Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) by Richard M — 21 Nov 2008
Set in the mid-50s, Edward R Murrow (Strathairn) looks to take down Senetor McCarthy through a series of broadcasts on the CBS station. Not exactly the most thrilling piece of cinema, but the film still has impact.
Strathairn and Clooney are the pick of the bunch in a great cast (with a too brief appearance from Robert Knepper), and the visuals are superbly portrayed in stark black and white. The writing is superb also which shows that Clooney can be more than just an actor.
