George Clooney shows his thoughtful, intelligent directorial side in this absorbing and concise dramatisation of crusading TV journalist Ed Murrow (the excellent David Strathairn) and his stand against McCarthyism in 1950s America.
Beautifully photographed in black and white, well made and played.
