George Clooney is turning into the next Stanley Kramer, wearing his liberal bias on his sleeve while maintaining a staggering output of didactic message movies (with a few delightful oddities). Some work better than others.
This B&W pic is one of the better ones, with a coolly authoritative performance by David Strathairn.
