Review of Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) by Keenan S — 10 Aug 2013
Good Night, And Good Luck is a hard-hitting and engaging political film about what happens when the government is not kept in check. It's a fascinating film about the Cold War and Senator McCarthy's unethical methods of accusing many people of being Communist sympathizers.
Despite being a Cold War piece, the film is still very relevant in this day and age about the government being given too much power, false accusations, censorship of the media, using fear to control, etc.
The film by itself is superbly written, superbly acted, and is engaging from start to finish, making the scant hour-and-a-half running time fly by like nothing. If you enjoy a good political film, this is one that is definitely worth checking out.
