Yes the cast is great and the story is interesting but there is not nearly enough of it. Even at a scant 90min it feels like sevral scenes are just there to kill time (repeated scenes of the news men sitting around talking drinking and smoking with music over the dialogue).
I guess there just wasn't enough of a story to fill a full movie. I didn't know that some people though so highly of tv.
