Review of Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) by Tarun R — 18 Feb 2009
This was an overall very enjoyable movie. Robin Williams' comedic delivery is absolutely brilliant, he is so talented. To argue though, the movie did not really have an established plot which made it difficult to follow, and the love interest that the director was trying to establish between Williams' character and a Vietnamese girl was going nowhere and hit a dead end; it was definitely not needed.
Forest Whitaker was great as a kind of clumsy soldier who was downright goodhearted and loveable and often talked sense into Williams' character. Overall a very heartwarming movie.
