Review of Good (2008) by Jason J — 15 Apr 2009
Viggo acts his socks off again here, but his character is hard to like and therefore the audience feels detached from what one should assume is his unfortunate tale of plight. He has problematic relationships with his wife, children and friends, but these aren't explored. Instead we follow his selfish relationship with his student. The only time we feel compassion for him is with the desperate scenes with his mother, but still it feels like he should be doing more.
The film is far too short for its own good and the abrupt ending does not make one like it more.
